Jiří Mejstřík - jury chairman
He is a journalist, publicist, editor a lyrist. After he had studied at the Faculty of Law, he worked in Czech radio as an editor and a moderator of a programme Mikrofórum. In 1991 he became a director of Czech radio. Since 1993 he has been a general director of the first private television TV Premiéra (now Prima). He has also had other management positions in the area of media. He teaches theory of media at the Academy of Musical Art and University of Economics, he is as well an author of many radio programmes and he publishes in magazines.
Marie Formáčková - jury chairman
She is a journalist, publicist and writer. She graduated from the University of Petrohrad and the Charles University in Prague. For twenty years she has worked as an editor of the magazine Vlasta and since 1989 as a chief editor. She also worked in management positions for the magazines Květy and TV Revue. She has been devoted to books writing since 2000.
Vlastimil Ježek - jury chairman
After the leaving examination, he studied engineering at the university but did not finish the studies. Later he worked with mentally handicapped children and graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy. He was an editor of the newspaper Práce, director general of Czech radio, chief editor of the magazine Naše rodina and a consultant on company communication. Currently he has been a director general of the National Library of the Czech Republic. He is an author and co-author of many special publications.
Petr Chlupatý - jury chairman
After he graduated from the University of Economics, he started working for Czech television. He has been working since than in the area of advertising. In 1991 an advertising company IP Praha (now ARBOmedia) was established and he became its financial director and in the years 1999 - 2007 he was its director general. Currently he still works in the advertising market as a consultant and adviser.
Josef Maršík - jury chairman
He teaches at the Faculty of Journalism and he is devoted to theory and praxis of radio news service and publicising and their historic comparison. He is an author of many surveys, analysis and university textbooks focused mostly on radio journalism.
