Václav Moravec (1974) - jury chairman

Václav Moravec

Václav Moravec, Doctor of Philosophy, graduated from the Faculty of Social Science at the Charles University. Currently he has been working here as a lecturer. Since 1992 he has been an editor and moderator in various radios such as Profil, Evropa 2, Frekvence 1 and Czech Radio. From the year 2001 to 2006 he was an editor of the BBC Radio. He started to moderate a discussion programme of the Czech Television called Václav Moravec's Questions in the year 2004 and he also moderates an every day programme of the Radio Impuls called Václav Moravec's Impulses. In the year 2003 he was awarded the prize of Foundation Czech Literature Fund called Journalist Quail in a category for journalists aged up to 33.

Bogna Koreng (1965) - jury member

Bogna Koreng

She finished her studies in Germanics in 1989. Since 1992 she was an external editor of Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk (MDR) and Wendish Radio, and in addition to that, since 1996 she was an editor of a television programme of MDR-Sachsenspiegel in Dresden. Since 2001 she has been an editor of a television programme Wuhladko (In 2003 the programme was awarded the 3rd prize in the International Television and Radio Festival of National Minorities called My Country of Birth). Since 2003 she has been a director of the MDR-studio Budyšín and Wendish Radio.

Eva Jurinová (1953) - jury member

Eva Jurinová

After her studies at the Faculty of Journalism of the Charles University she worked as an editor in the Czechoslovak Television. She started to work as a moderator of "Current-News" after the year 1989 and later she moderated evening news called Journal. After she had left the Czech Television she became a deputy chief editor of daily paper "Newspaper" and she co-operated with a radio Alfa and Classic. She also moderated a programme Radioforum in the Czech Radio 1 - Radiožurnál and later TV News in the Nova Television. Since the year 2000 she has been working as a spokeswoman of the Motol hospital, she is a lecturer of rhetoric, she gives media and communication trainings to journalists and starting moderators and she is a member of the Executive board of UNICEF.

Ľuboš Kasala (1972) - jury member

Ľuboš Kasala

In 1995 he graduated from the University of Transport and Communication in Žilina, the Slovak Republic. Currently he is attending doctorate studies in Economy of Road and City Transport. Since 1998 he worked in the Slovak Radio as an editor-moderator of regional news of the Slovak Radio 4 - Regina, and since 2002 he worked in an Expert Edition of Actual News of the Slovak Radio 1 - Radio Slovensko. Currently he has been working in the Centre of Publicists of the Slovak Radio as an editor-moderator, head of actual news team and editor of daily broadcasting. Since 2007 he has co-operated externally with the Slovak Television.

Stanislav Motl (1952) - jury member

Stanislav Motl

He graduated from the Faculty of Journalism at the Charles University. He is one of the most reputable investigative journalists. He worked in editors' office of magazine Reflex; he is a publicist and reporter of TV Nova - particularly of a programme called By Own Eyeball. His production includes broad spectrum of topics ranging from war experience to adventurous stories at extreme sports. Stanislav Motl is also a writer. He has published books (General Patton's Man, Milan Rastislav Štefánik, And the Thirteenth Was a Ketch..., Destiny Faces, Escape from Hellish House, Curse of Lída Baarová, and Nazis under Protection or Who Lost the War?).
