Sirens
Sirény is a feminist podcast that balances between a chat show and a video essay – a journalistically driven format that blends thorough research with personal perspectives, drawing on archives, pop culture references, data visualizations, studio recordings, and polls from our audience.
Each episode aims to demystify deeply rooted social narratives – often related to women, but not exclusively. We’ve covered topics like mental health, cancel culture, systemic gaps in family support, or the complexities around sex work – always with a dose of wit and levity.
Beyond the podcast itself, we’ve built a strong subscriber-based community on HeroHero, where we offer original author-driven newsletters, access to Close Friends on Instagram, live community events, and a safe space for sharing. Our content doesn’t emerge in a vacuum – it grows in conversation with our listeners. We also regularly create original content for social media – interactive challenges, viral reels, and educational posts – expanding the podcast’s reach across platforms.
Sirény combines journalism with formal experimentation and a focus on community – giving voice to those often left out of mainstream conversations. We’re journalists who believe that disinformation and stereotypes must be challenged not only with data, but also with empathy and engaged storytelling.
